D2 SHOOTS SHAKE UR BODY

The eloquent and admirably duo now known as D2 is committed their new prject, Duke explains that this is a new project from D2 formerly known as Dadabees. We strongly believe in this and we hope our fans will like this new album.
The 2-man D2 is a good commercial idea, and these young lads do have vocal and dance appeal. The style of hit music is here, and their tunes have the melodies that linger in your memory after ‘pressing playing’.
However, listening to such tracks as ‘Chop Ur Money’, ‘God Dey’ and ‘Shake Ur Body’ demonstrates these young boys do have talent. And now shooting the video for Shake ur body by Kwesi from OM studious. Shake ur body is from the Album, GOD DEY and expected to hit ur screens by early 2011. Below are some of the video pixels. Its D2 baby. WATCH OUT.

JOY FM NIGHT WITH THE STARS

Finally, the Accra International Conference Centre gets set to host the glitterati of Ghana’s music world at the 2010 edition of the Joy FM Nite with the Stars, come Friday.

It has been a calculated wait by organizers, Super Hits Radio Joy 99.7 FM who also are announcing a new marriage with Expresso as new title sponsor.

Take a look at the array of star artistes billed for the night, all together representing an extremely intricate selection of some 15 of the country’s finest music giants; a true representation of the past, present and future.

Nakorex comes together as a group – after a long split, and there will be Ben Brako, George Darko and Wulεmei representing an exotic evergreen generation; followed by No Tribe, VIP, Lord Kenya, Obour and Castro as the in-group. Nana Boroo, R2Bees, Rough N Smooth, Iwan, Trigmatic, Efya, and Scientific, tagged as the veritable embodiment of the future of Ghana music.

A sizzling list of Ghana’s finest artistes all fired up to thrill at what is undoubtedly the biggest music fiesta of the year, you would say.

Over the years, the Night with the Stars has been acclaimed as the best and foremost music event in the country, the night when all other activities get obscured by the glitz and glamour patrons and artistes.

This year the entire enterprise honours Ghana’s celebrated Mac Tontoh of Osibisa fame, who passed on in August of this year. Last season celebrated the legendary pop star Michael Jackson who died in July 2009. And while there, look out for a big surprise as presenters from Joy FM put up a group act.

Trigmatic embarks on ‘The Trig High School Tour’

Trigmatic, known in real life as Nana Yaw Oduro, is on a campaign to give back to society the many blessings he has recived from music.

He is currently embarking on a tour dubbed The Trig High School Tour with the sole aim of inspiring Senior High School students in selected schools to aspire to high heights in life and to discover themselves.

The tour kick-started on November 13 and Trigmatic has already visited the Labone Senior High School in Accra and the Ghana National College, Cape Coast.

The next phase will take him to Wesley Grammar High School in Accra on December 3 and then later to the Adisadel College in Cape Coast.

During each tour, Trigmatic performs for the students and also gives a talk with an appeal to them to aspire to be whoever they want to be. He also uses the event to sell his CDs and merchandise at discounted prices.

Speaking in an interview with Myjoyonline.com Thursday, Trigmatic said the tour is part of his social responsibility as a musician to give back to society.

“It is part of my social responsibility as a musician to give back. It is my life that I want people to tap into,” he explained, adding that the tour will help students discover themselves and also know that apart from university education, they can make something out of themselves. He emphasised that “we are not the same so they should discover themselves and own themselves after Senior High School.”

He intends to reach as many schools between now and mid-2011 across the length and breadth of the country.

Trigmatic revealed that he has been selected by the United Nations to volunteer as an ambassador to help propagate their developmental goals.

In that light, he will embark on another tour in 2011 to help promote gender balance. He hopes to echo female empowerment through fashion, talks and music.

He also said he will be releasing an AIDS awareness song soon to help with his AIDS awareness project that he has been promoting for some time now.

Trigmatic is currently a student of the Central University in Accra pursuing Marketing. He also doubles as a radio presenter.

He is widely known for his songs such My life and My Jolly from his Permanent Stain album, his major commercial album after two other underground albums.

Leila Djansi Jails Actor Senanu Gbedawo Of “CheckMate Fame” & Her Personal Assistant For Fraud

Delali Kumahor has been Leila Djansi’s trusted Personal Assistant for over a year and in that while has diligently handled Leila’s book keeping on her personal accounts anytime Leila is not in town.

After the production of Sinking Sands, Senanu Gbedawo kept sending Leila Djansi emails which centred on wanting to become an actor in one of her productions. She politely told him to wait until auditions come up and if he deserves a role, it will be given to him.

Senanu who was unsatisfied with the answer befriended Delali Kumahor who most people until today considered her as Leila’s younger sister. Senanu cunningly deceived Delali into his love web as a smart move on Senanus side to guarantee himself a movie by dating the PA of the celebrated filmmaker.

The young girl, awed by the fact that an actor like Senanu Gbedawo would fall for her this much requited his love. According to Leila Djansi, she noticed Senanu around a couple of times and warned her assistant of her fraternizing with the actor.

Leila Djansi further mentioned that she only noticed something fishy when she was ready to leave Ghana and her assistant who had taken permission to spend time with her grandfather stayed longer that the permitted time.

“Usually before I leave Ghana, I balance my personal accounts with her. For a week, this girl was gone and would not answer her phone. I don’t sign my cheques. She does that for me, she is a signatory to my personal accounts here based on trust. I have never had reasons to doubt her until this Senanu character came into the picture”, Leila said.

Leila continued by saying “The report that she forged checks is wrong. She has my power of attorney here in Ghana to draw from my personal accounts”. We gathered that, Senanu Gbedawo survives by living off sugar mummies and Delali wanting to be the only woman in his life had no choice than to steal her boss’s money for his upkeep. (Did I say she had no choice? She had the choice to let him go…).

It is also said that, Delali promised Senanu Gbedawo to finance a movie he intends to produce “Rumble Boy”. Leila did indeed make her assistant a partaker of her company by giving her shares in the company and all that attracted the greedy Senanu Gbedawo who sometimes threatened to dump Delali if she fails to provide certain things he needed. (The power of an Actor and a fine bobo, surely I will call Leila or Shirley and become an Actor too…).

When the movie Director realized her assistant was in hiding, she took the police and went in search for her. With the help of her Assistant’s friends (Judas kind of friends) and facebook chat, found her holed up in Monarch Hotel, East Legon busy having sex with Senanu Gbedawo. ( Who was on top of who? I wish I was told that…)

Leila Dzansi The two were arrested but Leila had Senanu released since he was shooting a movie. She also facilitated his release because, he insisted on having limited knowledge of the theft.

Even in the police cells, the PA kept insisting the money “went missing”. It took the intervention of Mabel Germaine, Leila’s costume designer and Amanda Jissie, Leila’s manager to finally get a confession from the PA who stated that indeed she was using the money to finance Senanu’s flamboyant lifestyle and even gave him Leila’s SUV to move around with.

According to Delali, she is in love with Senanu deeply and was doing anything to keep him around. The most shocking part of the story is that, when Delali was in jail, Senanu sent his brother to the jail to get taxi fare of 300 from him. ( Wow, is the dude that broke?)

Even at such a crucial time, Senanu was till siphoning money from the PA. It was obvious that, although the young girl was madly in love with Senanu, he was only using her for money and to secure a movie role. On his current set, he was heard loudly boasting to his fellow actors how he is playing lead in Leila Djansi’s upcoming film “Ties that Bind” which will star certain Hollywood big shots.

Later on, armed with text messages on Delalis phone, the director traced Senanu to his movie set, halted the shoot and demanded the truth from Senanu who also confessed to being a partner to the thievery.

Based on his own confession, Senanu was subsequently arrested and later bailed by his cousin. The two have been released on bail and Leila is ready to go to court.

Leila concluded with this “I have always had issues with star and fame hungry people. They are nothing but bad news. I noticed it about Senanu and I warned my assistant about it. No matter how much I love my assistant, she needs a little discipline”

“A lesson in honesty and a lesson in you don’t make sacrifices for a man. That is stupid. That will teach the people who are standing in queue to take advantage of me to find their ways back home.”

“I am tired of my talent and resources being taken advantage of by greedy people who are hungry for fame and wealth. This will serve as an example to others. I do not hold any grudge against my assistant because she was deceived by someone she thought was in love with her and also she was stupid”

Yvonne Nelson Accepts Bad Conduct, Apologizes To Abdul Sallam But Apology Thrown Into The Trash Can

I had an in-depth conversation with a media friend relatively close to Abdul Sallam yesterday, and we discussed inter alia, the validity of Yvonne Nelson’s ban, whether it will hold for a year and what Sallam can remedy himself with should the Producers Association decide to invalidate the ban. I held the argument that even if the Producers Association of Ghana sits on the case and decides to let her off the hook, Abdul Sallam as an individual and any other Producer who have suffered in the hands of Yvonne Nelson’s gobbledygook behaviour can still insist on “not using her in their individual movies”.
I made the deduction above when I was informed of Yvonne Nelson’s intention to render an apology to Sallam which the latter had vigorously stated that “he will not accept”.
Little did I know that Yvonne Nelson was on her way the same day to render her unqualified apology. According to Peacefm, her apology was trashed out.
What does her apology say to those defending her on here? If indeed she went out there to apologize, then she has accepted that she is at fault. (Blameworthy).
If the perpetrator acknowledges her fault and has not made a single attempt to defend her “bad” behaviour, why are others trying to defend and justify her conduct? Now, let’s wait and hear what the Defenders got to say !

……………………………………………….
Ghanaian screen goddess, Yvonne Nelson, who has been banned from starring in any Ghanaian or Nigerian movie for a year, is reported to have secretly visited the private residence of Executive Producer and CEO of Venus Films Production, Alhaji Abdul Salam, after peacefmonline.com broke the news of her ban.
Peacefmonline.com investigations indicates that the actress went to Salam’s house on Sunday November 21, 2010, to render an unqualified apology to him for her rude and disrespectful conduct on location a few weeks ago.
According to a source close to the Venus Films CEO, a contrite Yvonne, secretly went to apologize to Salam after putting up a shocking behaviour in front of everyone on set, and to also plead for the lifting of the one year ban placed on her.

Nigerian Veteran Actor “Charles Okafor” Angry About The Recent “Dirty Secrets” Soft Porn Movie Featuring Tonto Dike

It feels good to know that we still have sincere individuals like Veteran Actor Charles Okafor in the African Movie Industry.
What others will go mute on, one of the men who has toiled over the years to bring the African Movie Industry to its current stage will not side with the various hypocrites failing to call a spade a spade.
After weeks of criticising the movie “Dirty Secrets” and bashing the various Actors and Actresses (especially Tonto Dike) for the nasty roles they played in the movie, Charles Okafor has spill out the beans.
Tonto Dike defended her role in “Dirty Secrets” by tagging it  “Professionalism”.Charles Okafor who does not see any sense in her deductions and the movie said;
“Lack of fear of God is responsible for such tendency among actors. When we overreach the barricade of decency, propriety, fear of God and decorum, actors hide behind the deceptive veneer of professionalism…may Nollywood not transmute to pornwood. You may wish to have Tonto call me…”

Actress Pascaline Edwards Free Shows Some Skin

Ace Actress Pascaline Edwards have not been spotted in Ghana for sometimes and when she surfaced, her appearance was in a grand style.  I am not sure if she was intentionally showing the world her amazing thighs at last week’s “4ever Young ” movie premiere at the National Theatre.
The Actress rocking a hot khaki pants, a white inner, black jacket with a black pair of boots to match enjoyed the movie whiles giving camera men a tease.

I like blue films - Abieku Santana

Abeiku Aggrey Santana, the celebrated broadcast journalist known in private life as Gabriel Abeiku Aggrey, has revealed aspects of his life unknown to his fans: He has a deep affection for watching hard-core pornographic films!!!

The star-broadcaster explains that he watches pornography to constantly upgrade his sex skills and also serve as a unique way of entertaining himself. The ace broadcaster explains that he pays particular attention to the sex skills and positions that are displayed in porn movies and he takes lessons from them, it is no wonder that he has three children and is still expecting more. The fact that Abeiku goes an extra mile to learn the act of sex may explain why he has a lot of female fans.

Though many Ghanaian men enjoy pornography, none has been bold enough to admit it publicly. I left Metro because of Jon Germain - Mzbel

According to top Ghanaian female hiplife act, Mzbel, she left her job at Metro TV due to the ‘bossy’ nature of broadcaster, Jon Germain. Speaking to Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) on Thank God It’s Friday (TGIF) on that same TV channel, Mzbel said “I left Metro TV because Jon Germain was giving me a hard time”.

She explained that she was brought on as a producer for the entertainment TV magazine, ‘Smash TV’ (now Allo Tigo), a show that was being produced by Jon Germain.

Judging by her posturing in TGIF, there was a clear clash in their characters making it difficult for Mzbel to cope. She said that in the end, she decided to leave Metro TV as a case of ‘who is boss’ couldn’t be avoided. “It was a case of boss over boss”, she explained.

Subsequently, Mzbel left Metro TV to pursue a job in editing at Apex advertising Agency before eventually turning to music. She also revealed to KSM that she has now gotten used to all the controversy and media frenzy around her. According to her, she buys publications that gossip about her and reads them for fun at home.

Among the other issues that came up for discussion on TGIF included her love life, her son and family.

Mzbel disclosed that she is currently in a very serious relationship that should lead to marriage soon but was she hesitant to give more information to avoid the usual speculations surrounding her love life.

Is Yvonne Nelson Staging A Come Back With Her Ex- Boyfriend?

Lanky actress Yvonne Nelson denied and jilted Metro TV’s Allo Tigo presenter Jon Germain in public. According to the actress, his relationship with Jon was purely platonic. In a layman’s language, she means there are just friends.

The actress told NEWSONE something back that “I have a boyfriend and it will not be fair to go behind him. Jon is just a friend. You can call him and ask him. There is nothing going on between us. I even hear he is getting married.”

But Jon said “I haven’t spoken to her in a week and I don’t feel like calling her and I know she does not also feel like calling me either. I am sure it is over”. And what was the end of their amorous relationship.

Interestingly, the actress has since denied any she is has be found close with as her Boyfriend. From celebs like John Dumelo to TV presenter Jon Germain via Nigerian actor Jym Ike and Black Stars midfielder Derrick Boateng.

To hastily conclude that the actress is a lesbian, will be laughable. It amazes GhanaCelebrities.com why Yvonne has always denied her relationships. Funny enough, our camera lens captured the actress with her former boyfriend “Chase” at Khareema Aguiar’s birthday celebration.

Yvonne’s ex “Chase”, was one of the latecomers to the party, I don’t know if he wasn’t given the right time but after exchanging pleasantries and kisses, he found himself a seat next to his one time lovebird.

The two were in an intimate relationship sometime back whiles in Central University. Though our source didn’t say why and how their relationship ended, it came out that the actress is really happy anytime they are together and enjoys his company. To say she is just found of him will be an understatement.

The nature of their welcoming kisses raised eyebrows. This made one of the senior citizens ask weather it’s true that they kiss real when shooting a movie. Though some of the actors answered “No”, the message Yvonne and her ex sent across seems to have been noticed by the audience.

“Innocent Chase” real name Fianko Bossman looks happy and comfortable around her, so let’s wait and see how the story unfolds in the days ahead. Is Yvonne Nelson staging a comeback with her ex?

Those of you who do not know Chase, he is an upcoming singer. He is a talented songwriter who wrote hits such as ‘Leave Me Alone’ by Mimi and ‘When I Get You’ by Richie.
